Yogi government is making villages Atmanirbhar, this formula will sell local products

New Delhi, Business Desk. In Jagran Dialogues, Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Minister Siddharth Nath Singh shared the strategy of how industries are being developed at the micro-level during the covid era. In a conversation with Pratyush Ranjan, Senior Editor, Jagran New Media, he told that the Yogi government has made such a strategy so that people become self-reliant. Many schemes have been run for this. For example, Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana, which benefits cobblers, barbers and confectioners. At the same time, a scheme named One District One Product (ODOP) has also been run. Its purpose is from the production of a particular product of each district to its marketing. This directly benefits the worker making the product. The export of these things has increased.

Singh said that the government has now started setting up skill development centres in every block. Arrangements are also being made for the employment of people getting training here. For this, the concept of Micro Village Industry is being brought. Under this, the people who make the product will be given its storage, marketing and other help.

11 thousand crore loan restructuring to more than 4 lakh units

He told that with the imposition of lockdown last year, the Uttar Pradesh government had started supporting the industries. After the lockdown was lifted, industries were started opening one by one. Loan restructuring of Rs 11 thousand crores was done to more than 4 lakh units. Also, the government launched MSME Sathi, on which people sent their complaints. About 4000 complaints were received, which were resolved immediately.

Free Software to File GST Returns

He said that free software has been given to small entrepreneurs to file GST returns. This will make it easier for them to file returns. They will also save money. They will also be given the training to run the software so that they can do tax-related work themselves.

Loan in schemes like ODOP

Apart from this, loans were distributed in schemes like ODOP. Comparing this with 2016-17, then there was the SP government, which had distributed a loan of 28 thousand 137 crore rupees, whereas we gave 73 thousand 765 crore rupees during the Corona period. That is, we remained active even during the time of Covid and kept helping the MSME units. However, in view of the crisis, the Uttar Pradesh government got more than 4 lakh money under the Center's Emergency Credit Guarantee Loan Scheme. His electricity bill was also waived.
