Under this scheme, there are religious minority students who like medical, engineering, dental, master's degree courses, diploma courses, nursing, B.Ed, BBM, BCA, D.Ed, D-Pharma, or Pharma-D. The government is keen to pursue professional courses for ITI, and ITI is being assisted from the start of the course till completion of the course from Rs.10,000 / - to Rs.75,000 / - per year.

 

ARIVU (EDUCATION LOAN) SCHEME FOR ALL CET STUDENTS 

As per government order No.MWD/03/MDC/201, Bangalore dated 17.01.2014, the Karnataka Minorities Development Corporation Ltd., (KMDC) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Karnataka Examination Authority, Bangalore. Accordingly, applications as per the prescribed format issued under KEA Brochure, are invited from the candidates belonging to religious minorities viz.,Muslim, Christian, Jain, Building, Buddhist, Sikh and Parsi communities,

 

 who are appearing for Common Entrance Test (CET) which will be conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) for various Professional Courses, for sanction of education loan from the Corporation under its 'ARIVU' (Education Loan) Scheme as per the fee prescribed by the KEA/Government of Karnataka,BSC students can also apply for Kmdc loan.

If the candidates who have applied for CET and have applied for loan renewal for the next academic year under the Arivu (Education Loan) Scheme, are requested to contact the concerned district office for more information.


Micro Loan with Subsidy Scheme

The scheme is being implemented through self-help groups. In the same way the group is formed, of which 10 to 20 members are required. The group should aim to involve its members in any engaging or commercial activity. After forming a self-help group, members should select and incorporate their two members as group leaders through 1 and 2,A bank account should be opened in the name of all self-help groups,

 

 which have authorized signatories of groups 1 and 2 and the group should consist of only religious minority persons. In this scheme, first priority is given to women self-help groups, if individuals from minority communities living in urban areas and rural areas who do small work like vegetable / fruit vending through push carts, Kallai making, bed making, PAN etc. Want to start a business,


Each member will be provided a loan of Rs 10,000. Whatever loan is there will be sanctioned directly to the self-help group, which in turn will be disbursed to all its members, with a subsidy of ₹ 5,000. BSC students can also apply for Kmdc loan.


The loan has to be repaid in 36 monthly installments and  5% interest rate p.a
