Checkbook and MICR code of three banks will be invalid from October 1, so this bank Oriental Bank of Commerce, United Bank of India as well as Allahabad Bank

Let us tell you that on 1st April 2020, Oriental Bank of Commerce and United Bank of India were merged with Punjab National Bank ie PNB, so now everything from customer to branch of both the banks will be of PNB, same Allahabad Bank has been merged with Indian Bank, it has come into effect from 1st April 2020.

Indian Bank had recently informed in its tweet that, the MICR code of the erstwhile Allahabad Bank will be valid only till 30 September 2021, so in order to continue the transaction with this banking services without any interruption, the customers will be required to do so on 1 October 2021. Need to get a new checkbook before.

According to Indian Bank, customers can go to the nearest branch for a new checkbook, apart from this, they can also apply for internet banking service through internet banking online or with the help of mobile banking.

Punjab National Bank told through social media that, from October 1, 2021, the old Facebook of Oriental Bank of Commerce and United Bank India will be closed, so please replace the old checkbook of OBC and UBI with the new checkbook of Punjab National Bank. In order to get the new ATM card and internet service, Punjab National Bank said that the checkbook will be available with the IFSC Code and MIRC of PNB.
